Traveling the World

Lucia Hoffman
I was born in Puerto Rico and lived there until I was about one. From there I moved to high and mighty Colorado where I have lived until now, 2019. For the next year starting on July 5th I am going to be going on a huge adventure, my family has decided that we are going to go around the world (mostly).
That’s one of the main reasons why I created this blog, to update people from home where I am and how things are going. So here it is, I am going to be posting pictures of our travels (they won’t be amazing…) and telling people the ins and outs of our travels.
The Prep (That No One Talks About)
But as of right now we’re still in Colorado and everything is going to be about the preparation that is going into renting a house (that has never been moved out of), packing everything out and getting used to the shell of a house that is starting to turn into a hotel room. That’s my analogy of the prep as once you start taking away the things that you always have had there like your pillows or similar things you take for granted. Your beloved home starts to feel like you are just staying there for x amount of days with the things you need for those days. But when you leave, you take everything with you and the room becomes generic again.
What I am Going to Miss Most
I think out of everything I am going to miss, I am going to miss my sense of direction even more. In Breck I know where everything is, people can ask me for recommendations and I’ll give them an amazing place to go for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and a sweet treat. But on our trip I might just fall asleep throughout 3 states and wake up with no sense of where I am, and I will be the person asking for directions. You might ask, well won’t you get to know the place sooner than later?
Well that’s the problem, we are bouncing around the US in a camper and staying in one place for no more than a week or two. For the next four months in a camper then 3-ish months bouncing around in Europe and Asia. The only grounding I will have is in Puerto Rico where we are going to be for 5-ish months. Well, really all I have to say now is what you have been reading, but stay tuned as I will try to write at least once a week about where I am, and what has happened recently, including photos.
